Restoring Hope
Women & Children's Health, Wellness, and Nutrition program
The goal of this program is to deliver essential, free healthcare services and education directly to women and children in resource-limited communities. We are the vital link that mobilizes the personnel, supplies, and infrastructure needed to bring immediate, life-saving medical care to those who are hardest to reach.
About the Program
We combat the triple threat of poor health, malnutrition, and preventable illness by delivering essential, free healthcare services and education directly to women and children in resource-limited communities. Our integrated approach provides primary care, preventative education, and sustainable water solutions to build resilient and healthy households, ensuring no mother or child is left behind.
Essential Medical Care & Treatment (Access)
Under this program, we deliver immediate, life-saving medical care and treatment to the women and children who are hardest to reach and completely cut off from services.
Mobile Clinics: We deploy our mobile units to bring primary healthcare and emergency treatment directly to women and children in remote areas.
Maternal & Child Health (MNCH): We provide life-saving maternal care, including pre-natal checkups, immunizations, and child growth monitoring.
Disease Intervention: We actively screen, treat, and prevent prevalent illnesses like malnutrition, malaria, and waterborne diseases through community intervention.
Supply Relief: We ensure our teams have the essential medicines, supplies, and first-aid kits needed to treat patients on the spot.
Preventative Nutrition & Education (Wellness)
Under this program we empowers women as primary caregivers with the knowledge and resources necessary to prevent illness and ensure their children’s nutritional health.
Malnutrition Treatment: We actively screen and treat severe acute malnutrition using life-saving Ready-to-use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) for children.
Nutrition Workshops: We train mothers on optimal infant and young child feeding practices (IYCF) and balanced diet preparation using local, affordable ingredients.
Hygiene & Sanitation Training: We conduct practical training for women on handwashing, safe food handling, and sanitation to stop the spread of disease.
Backyard Gardens: We educate women on home-based gardening to improve household access to fresh, diverse food sources.
Water, Sanitation, & Infrastructure (Sustainability)
We address the root causes of many illnesses by ensuring clean water and safe sanitation is accessible to mothers and their families.
Clean Water Access: We partner with communities to strengthen water management, install boreholes, and improve access to safe drinking water.
Sanitation Infrastructure: We promote and assist in the construction of improved latrines and handwashing stations in homes and schools.
WASH Integration: We integrate water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) efforts into all health and nutrition work for sustainable, long-term impact.
Support for Amputees
Beyond nutrition, we provide care to the most vulnerable. Under this program, we supported 15 amputees with prosthetic legs, each costing about $1,000, helping restore mobility, dignity, and hope for a better quality of life. Watch a Testimonial Video of our program
